Did my research on this and was impressed. Two layers of denim, one fleece and one cotton tshirt material and still expands reliably. Credit to Tools and Targets on Youtube. Will slowly build a stock of a thousand of these to replace my XTPs.

I wrote a review a few days ago on this when actually it was the Winchester 115 grain FMJ. I said I had measured the OALs and that they ranged from 1.41” to 1.61”. ActuaLly they were 1.041” to 1.061”. (Still quite a large variation). I was worried that they might not be factory. Since then I’ve seen on other sites that Winchester ammo is notorious for that type of spread and has nothing to do with Optics Planet.

I can rarely find win.whitebox jhp, (or any other 50 round box of jhp) locally and when I can the price is outrageous. I was glad to find these at Optics Planet. They feed and fire well and are at least as accurate I am. Your results may vary. Thanks O.P.

I hate spending lots of money on self defense ammo because if you are going to use it, you need to shoot enough out of your firearm to verify it functions properly. No failures to feed, no failures to eject. I believe in putting at least 50 rounds down range to verify reliability, and that can be expensive with other brands of HP self defense ammo. Note that we have had failures with 147 grain HP's (other brands) because they are longer. I choose 115 grains because they have been 100% reliable for us. I put 15 of these 115 grain HP's through my Glock, no problems. 24 rounds through my wife's Hellcat, no problems. Did a 33 round dump through my AR9, no problems. These work fine, last a long time. Came in a black box marked "Defense".

This is great ammo at a very good price for a 50 round box!!! I highly recommend this ammo.

I started carrying these because the got good short barrel ballistic gel results from Shooting The Bull 410. Certainly not HSTs but they expanded and penetrated sufficiently. And until 2020, they were really inexpensive and therefore a good value. They're now RELATIVELY inexpensive although so are the Federal Punch rounds. Anyway, I've been using the Winchesters and was happy to find these available at Optics Planet! I would give these 5 starts except one of the bullets looks as though it has been hammered at the base of the ogive on all sides! Really strange and makes me wonder if there are any other quality control problems that can't be seen. Hopefully this is a rare anomaly.
