This ammo shoots consistently accurate through my near 40 year old Remington 700 30-06 rifle, at 100 yards I shoot under 1" M.O.A., often times several shots go through near the same impact hole. I would recommend this ammo for hunting.

The .30-06 ammo is neither cheap nor easy to find right now, but I wanted to know how this would perform. Tight pattern at the range. No problems so far. This uses lead, so check your state laws. This has an exposed tip (not full metal jacket).

Just what I ordered and it came earlier than I thought! I will order from Optics again! The price was good and the packaging was I damaged! I have had trouble in the past from other dealers online getting my orders done or not at all! I have already recommended optics planet to my friends and family!

I switched to 165 grain Super Xs a few years ago when it was the only 165 grain ammo I could find in stock. I hunt deer and wild hogs with it and have been really impressed with how this bullet performs on game. I have never had an animal go more than 50 feet after a shot, and I always get lots of blood and good exit wounds. They hold together even at close range and have always put meat in the freezer. The only downside is these only shoot about 2 MOA in my Winchester Model 70–all my hunting is at 200 yards and in thought so don’t need any real precision. I suspect the exposed lead tip is the reason for both. I think a lot of shooters get wrapped up in accuracy on paper but unless you are taking long shots you don’t need sub MOA do kill deer or pigs. For the price I think they are some of the best hunting loads out there, and for all I know the ammo might shoot a little better in a different gun.

I’ve killed dozens of deer, elk, oryx, and pronghorn with Winchester Super X. Best expanding and weight retention of any bullet I’ve ever seen. NOTHING beats good ol LEAD! Today’s “faster” tipped bullets don’t expand, therefore don’t have that knock-down shock power as old fashioned lead filled. My freezers are ALWAYS full!
