Norm –
I have been hunting geese for 60 years.had used lead shot #2 3" shells with a 2 oz load of lead pellets for some time before lead was banned. Then steel shot came out in the 90s to replace it. Lets face it steel is a poor replacement forlead. But its the law for waterfoul use. As a replacement for lead i started using winchester 31/2" steel 1 9/16 T shot 12 gauge shells for geese some say that there is not enough shot in that load. But believe an old guy who has shot a lot of geese in my 82 year old life. Hit them up front with just 2 t pellets and they are down for the count.people are amazed how far out i shoot them but nothing crazy. But some at 55 yds and i use a improved cylinder choke in a browning maxus 12 gauge. My gun paterns best with i.c. choke tube kicks high flyer brand.Try it you will like it. Thanks for listening.
