In the .300 AAC Blackout cartridge casings produced by Winchester are among the best in the world. For .300 AAC Blackout competitive shooting and hunting the rounds are highly polished to withstand the rigors of semi-automatic fire.300 AAC Blackout brass is polished by hand until paper thin nearly on the mouth and sides. To further enhance the .300 AAC Blackout cartridge casings annealing is done to remove some of the fired primer material but not so much that it begins to leach chemicals into the casing. Because of this the cases have a slight staining on the neck area near the neck and slightly out of round near the mouth area. Cases with slightly out-of-round mouths should be sized deburred and chamfered prior to loading. This is normal and no harm is done.Specifications and Features:300 AAC Blackout.caliber.units/box=100pieces.300 AAC Blackout. With brass so hard to find, I decided to try this Winchester brass since I would not spend as much time on it as long range and hunting ammo. It isn't as pretty (polished) as other brands, but the thing that I really didn't like is how inconsistent the primer pockets are. Some were really tight to prime, but others were really loose and sloppy. I am not talking about a few here and there, they were all over the place. The case mouths needed to be deburred. In all fairness, I usually use Lapua brass for everything I can. I didn't expect that quality, but I didn't expect the inconsistency and lack of finishing. For a bit more you can get much better.
