Our new 1997C MatchKing #1997 Hollow Point Boat Tail (HPBT) bullet combines the classic, match grade characteristics Sierra has become famous for in our traditional MatchKing bullets with the proven long range efficiency and terminal performance our #1997 bullet represents. This sleek 27 caliber elongated ogive and final meplat reducing operation (pointing) provide an increased ballistic coefficient for optimal wind resistance and velocity retention. Our #1997 MatchKing #1997 Tipped MatchKing bullet is a great choice for long range marksmanship competitions but is really a long range bullet designed for a cartridge giving the competitive shooter an even better long range option. Our #197 MatchKing is made to the same exacting standards as our traditional MatchKing bullets. Its slightly ovoid profile retains much more of the original projectile’s weight while retaining much of the impact energy over a standard .284 diameter .284 inch twist barrel requires. When it comes to accuracy and expansion you will be hard pressed to find a better, more consistent bullet. Long Range Shooter –
A fine bullet for 1 Mile and further. It will outperform another brand that costs more and I'm a big fan of the other brand with lots of yellow boxes in my reloading room. This bullet isn't recommended for hunting purposes and I'd not recommend it for hunting.
