The SBT or Solid Base features a tapered jacket base allowing the projectile to travel deeper and travel faster through the target. The increased speed allows the SBT or Solid Base to travel more efficiently through the target. While this allows the bullet to travel faster through the target it also provides the SBT with the same explosive expansion and hydrostatic shock that allows such bullets to penetrate deeply and widen the wound channel.
