SUMMIT PRESS IS A VERY NICE PRESS FIT AND FINISH IS EXCELLENT AND THE PRESS WORKS PERFECTLY ALTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN LOADING 223R AND 204R WHICH ARE ON THE SMALLER SIZE CASINGS I DID A TEST WITH THE 264 WM I DID A FEW IN MY ROCKCHUCKER SUPREME AND A FEW IN THE SUMMIT PRESS .THE SUMMIT HANDLED THE LARGER CASE JUST FINE .SUMMIT NAY HAVE TAKEN A LITTLE MOE PRESSURE BUT NOT MUCH NOT VERY NOTICEABLE WORKS REALLY WELL FOR SEATING BULLETS WITH THE SMALLER HANDLE.

Received press and set was so easy, my son and I couldn't be happier. This press gives new meaning to decaping and sizing. Bullet alignment perfect. I cant say enough about this new press. NO PROBLEMS and we have loaded 5000 308 and 2500 223 not to mention several thousand 40- 45s . Not tired and able to go shoot in the afternoons.

Good press, probably most robust press on the market. Easy to use, the open front makes for easy to load and fit and finish is superb. I havent had a single issue and everything was packaged well. The only press you will ever need.

Not long after I wrote this review, and having shared the same concerns over the negative aspects with RCBS, I was contacted by one of their people. Some of the issues with the setup instructions have been acknowledged. A new manual may be included with newer production. They are addressing the lack of QC on factory assemblyI expect some new parts soon to address the "slop" issues with the top casting and column fit. After using the press for several hundred more loading sessions I've found this press to produce the STRAIGHTEST sized .308 cases. Straighter than any other press or die system (hand dies) I've used in 40+ years of hand loading. The last 100 sized cases measured LESS than .0005" TIR. That works.I cut the bottom out of the primer catcher cup, added a long piece of vinyl tube to it, and now the primers all fall into a collection can under the bench. This is one fantastic press now. I've raised my rating on all but the setup. It's a little more time consuming than an old Rock Chucker but worth the time spent.Pros: same as beforeCons: fewer than before

I was totally excited when I ordered this press. At last a press that was built like I thought a solid reloading press should be. No "Knee Knocker" under the bench, no primers spread over the floor, and the shell holder is easily accessible and visible. The unit I took out of the box took me half a day to do the work that should have been done in the factory before shipping. Every nut, bolt, and set screw was loose. The machine work itself was beautiful but the center column, where the upper pivot casting is mounted, was undersized. Had to finally shim it in order to stop the flex that was causing the bolts holding it to loosen up during operation.I have the skills and ability to cure this so I won't waste the money sending it back to RCBS. I merely added some shim stock to fill the gap. For those that don't have any shim stock then just clean out the casting with laquer thinner, wipe the mating surface of he column with wax and use some J-B Weld to fill the gap. When it hardens there'll be NO gap or movement and if the pivot has to be removed the wax will keep it from bonding to the column. Hopefully RCBS will recognize this problem and "tap the machinist on the shoulder so he can stop turning the column so small.I love the press, just don't care for the carelessness that was apparent when finishing this one before shipping.Pros: Solid construction, Easy to use, Produces Straight Cases, Easy to maintain, Great Primer Catch featureCons: The Factory needs to finish assembling and adjusting before shipping

Set the press up two weeks ago. Neck sized 180 rds 308, full sized 300 rds 223 and throat expanded 200 rds 45 and the top bracket the handle screws through is broken in two. The setup for sizing is a pain since I use my dies in another press. Now I am going to have to pay shipping to see what it is going to take for getting it repaired.
