   Top drawer performance in various calibers. In my Springfield M1879 .45 Govt. with 405 grn. HB bullets and 70 grain volume of ‘Select” I can put twenty rounds thru it with excellent accuracy and no swabbing or blow tube needed. The breach block still closes with no effort. I have used Pyrodex since about 1979 and never looked back. Great Product.

   A highly refined black powder substitute. Burns as clean as black powder can, easy to clean up but the best feature of this powder is the consistent velocities it produces. A superior powder.

   it is necessary to clean between shots and use a drill bit to clean the flash channel of the breech plug. Upon cleaning the breech plugs tend to be a bit tight to get out but not bad. I find the greatest accuracy with decent velocity with a 300 grain bullet. (1800 fps +) at around 130 grains of powder. Clean up is easier than I expected from what I had heard. All around a good powder
