I'm a meat eater and not a bench-rest shooter and have hunting rifles chambered for the 260Rem (.264"); 7mm Rem Mag (.284"); my all-around "go-to" 30-06 (.308") and an inherited .375 Ackley-Improved Mag (.375") custom built in Juneau, AK in 1950 for Alaskan brown bear. Those 4 rifles have provided a LOT of meat throughout the years.I have reloaded with Nosler bullets (typically the Partitions) for decades. However, with the recent severe decline in reloading component availability, the Partitions have become very difficult to find if at all. Especially the .375" 260gr Partitions which the geniuses at Nosler have seen fit to cease production of. As a result, I have had to experiment with their AccuBond bullets in this caliber for the last 4 years now. Am happy to report that the AccuBonds have performed well on deer but are impressive on elk. From short range in deep timber to open slopes and sagebrush out to 350yds these bullets fly truer than a Partition (love that boat-tail!) and most have been one-shot kills with perfect expansion and retained integrity.I liked them so much, I have now incorporated the AccuBonds in my '06 reloads (180gr) and have experienced better shot grouping (due to the boat-tail config) and no loss of knock-down performance compared to the Partitions. Now, all that being said, I still regret that I can no longer purchase .375" 260gr Partitions especially if going after "dangerous" critters.I give this review a "4" instead of a "5" due to two factors:The first being the full 1-1/2 years my order from Optics Planet was in backlog (not their fault. The second irritant being the Nosler company and what seems to me their taking advantage of a bad national shortage phenomenon and raising their prices on components by up to 50+% and essentially gouging loyal customers.
