Nosler RDF 22 Caliber .224 70 GR Hollow Point Boat Tail (HPBT) 100 Box – Bullets with a reduced drag factor are preferred by many competitive shooters because they fly with a flat trajectory with little wind drift. The Nosler RDF Bullets do not require any bullet prep because the sprue, ogive and boat tail are pre-formed. This bullet profile, along with a slightly longer meplat reduces drag and improves accuracy. The Nosler RDF Bullets also hold a high speed energy top section which enhances kinetic energy transfer to the target. Bullets in this class generally have a fairly high energy value but low drag due to the drag-reducing effect of the boat-tail shape. The advantage to this high energy bullet is that, because of the boat tail, a significant amount of the energy is transferred to the tip of the bullet increasing kinetic energy and velocity at impact. The energy retained is transferred to the back end of the bullet increasing the energy transfer and velocity at the target. The smaller meplat and increased weight of the bullet all but eliminate any trimming or pointing errors. The Nosler RDF Bullets have the highest ballistic coefficients of any such bullets – Nosler Bullets have the highest Ballistic Coefficients in the game Highest BCs Smallest Meplats – Nosler.
