I did a ton of research and knew what I was getting into with this press. Luckily I had a buddy who has been using one of these successfully for years. He convinced me to go for it and I'm glad I did. I put it together and took it apart twice, watched some videos, and after 2 days of tinkering I can drop a bullet every 4 or 5 seconds. You just really have to be careful and take your time setting your dies and your indexing. Probably not the top machine on the market but well worth it. Pros: Value, almost everything you needCons: Tricky setup

Surprisingly I got this loader working great. It has many update from previous models. No problems at all. I have loaded about 1300 9mm and running flawless. I have it running smooth and power is very consistent with Bullseye. I wish it had more options to have custom loads with loading disks. For my loads I only have two options of loads 4.1 it comes out to and 4.6. Big difference in the two disk options. I have a load that I like at 4.4 gr. But I can't get that load on this press.

After a marathon week of loading on a Lee Classic Turret press, i decided the time had come to upgrade to a progressive. I had been researching them for quite a while, so I knew a blue press or the other red one would be better, but the funds just weren't available for one of those. Having used lee for years, I knew what I was getting into. I'm a tinkerer by nature, so I actually enjoyed setting this up.There are a ton of videos and forum posts about the Loadmaster. People that take the time to set them up properly typically love them. First and foremost, sand (800 grit) and polish any parts that rub together. This alone will make a world of difference.I have it set up for 9mm and .45acp, with a RCBS tube bullet feeder and the set-crimp die only (no FCD). I haven't had any issues not running the FCD. My only complaint now is that I run out of components too quickly!

My second Lee as my first was a fine working 1000 in cal459mm Works perfect with careful set up. You have to read directions tho and recheck the pics.Added case collator and bullet feeder. Hollow base bullets won't work so they should be near flat base or flat as the heads get stuck on one another.Only thing to slow you down is a jam up from a 380 case or not watching the primers or case collator, they run out fast!

After long debates and much reading. I choose this press. There are many reviews saying it can be a pain and finicky. If you have any sense of mechanics you won’t have any trouble. Actually if you do have multiple issues it’s definitely more user error than machine. I will buy another compete loadmaster instead of just the shell plate and head. It’s worth it to me for .223. I wouldn’t load much other than pistol and plinking ammo in the progressive mode tho. Just me and my opinion, prolly cause I’m anal tho

Don't get m,e wrong I do like my Load master press, it took me several weeks and you tube videos on how to set this up to work. I have had it for three months now and I can load 200 rounds in about 45 minutes. I still haven't got the auto case feeder timed properly yet. I am a first time reloaded and I didn't want to load 50 rounds in a week with a signal press. I do recommend this press, for the money, I paid 300.00 for all of the kit. Take A LOT of time at first to set it up right. You will enjoy it much more.
