From match shooters to target shooters, these Hornady Pro-Grade Bullets deliver top-quality performance at all ranges. Many shooters aren’t aware that there are different kinds of bullets on the market. Some, like the V-MAX and SST bullets, have a polymer tip. But all manufacturers conventional polymer tips melt in flight. That’s why the ELD-X is different. At conventional ranges, ELD-X bullets continually expand – for deep penetration and large wound cavities. At higher velocities, the ELD-X bullets exhibit controlled expansion at all ranges. However, at greater velocities, the ELD-X bullets exhibit conventional expansion. They still have the controlled expansion at conventional velocities, but the impact energy is higher at these higher velocities. For this reason, ELD-X bullets are the ultimate example of a “best-in-class” performance that can be found only with an innovative tip. These bullets come in a variety of grains and weights, and they all feature the Heat Shield tip. These reloadable, handgun bullets are the ultimate example of a ballistic tip that supports and enhances performance, all while delivering accuracy at ALL ranges. A highly accurate bullet in my Savage and puts game on the ground quickly. I can't say enough good things about this bullet. Very consistent and tight groups out to my max shooting range of 500 yards.

One piece of bubble wrap is NOT sufficient when you put a small box of 100 bullets inside a 5" x 7" x 10" box… It provides NO protection at all. You need to pack these bullets so they don't move around in the box. Stuff it tight. After transit, the bubble wrap had no bubbles anymore because the bullets have busted all the bubbles. At some point, things are going to get damaged if you don't think through your packing techniques.

These bullets shoot very well. I have only used on whitetail and pigs, they leave an impressive wound channel.

Best in class for aerodymatics, easy to reload, looks good, fun to shoot
