I’ve used this powder in 308, 223, and now in 6mm BRA and it produces stellar accuracy, great velocity, but above all awesome standard deviations. On all 3 cartridges I was able to product SD numbers below 10 FPS. I also compared velocity between 100+ degree weather and the dead of winter and found only a 20 FPS change.

Perhaps the best powder I’ve ever used. Consistent over the years, easily metered, temperature insensitive, and great in my rifles.

Excellent powder in many calibers. I use a H4895 in many varmint calibers with Excellent accuracy and velocity. Glad to have snagged some in today’s world!!

I chose H4895 for my antique Trapdoor Springfield and it works better than any other powder. Not only is the accuracy amazing for a rifle this old, but the powder offers the best combination of low chamber pressure and case-filling density.

H4895 – Highly recommended for 308 with 168-176gr. bullets in 20″ barrel: I have experienced low SDs (less then 5 fps on average using Lapua brass), accuracy (sub-MOA 3 shot groups in my long stroke gas gas piston rifle, sometimes less then .5 MOA at 100 meters) and velocity (2638 fps for 176 gr. A-tips and 2670 for for 168 TMKs). Hodgdon, please, please double or triple production so I can get some more and other shooters can also benefit from this great temp. stable powder.

I love this powder in a No.3 Mark 1 Enfield. I use a 174 BTHP bullet and it shoots 1′ groups all day long with minimum fouling and recoil. It also works well in a Winchester 54 in ’06 with a 147 grain FMJ. Meters very well and quite consistent performance.

Awesome powder for my BRA. Keep it coming – it’s been hard to find.

What a great propellant! Very temperature stable, and I am getting nearly one-hole groups now with my 6.5 Creedmoor after trying several powders over the years, including H4350, Alliant RL16 and Vihtavouri. Used it to hit 5 of 5 at 1000 yards. Now my standard propellant!
