The External Hollow Point (EHP) is a precision made defensive handgun round that has unmatched reliability. The reliability comes from the fact that it does not require expansion to create devastating wounds and not over-penetrate. This is due to the unique and patented shape of the projectile. Rather than expansion, it utilizes its shape to create cavitation by way of fluid dynamics that enlarges wounds and uniformly transfers energy to repeatedly penetrate to an optimal depth. The EHP is a truly barrier blind munition. It is precision machined from solid copper and has no possibility of jacket separation not matter what barrier is encountered. It passes through common barriers without transferring energy so there is still a uniform and dynamic effect on the intended target. EHP technology employs light for caliber projectiles. This not only increases the amount of kinetic energy that gets transferred into the terminal target, it significantly reduces felt recoil. A'ight, I'm used to shooting 200-230 grain .45 loads. Normal recoil, I'm used to it. But after using these? Wow, recoil may as well not exist. I did a ballistic gel test (10% FBI), and it left a very interesting wound channel, and a deadly one at that. I would trust my life with this ammo, and I plan on buying more. Not sure if overpenetration will ever be an issue but I got a block of NATO ballistic gel just to see. Buy a few boxes, test 'em, give 'em a try!

So after three 10% FBI ballistic gel tests later, I can easily say this is one of the deadliest .45 rounds I own. If a .45 round went through fat camp, the result is a devastating wound channel with lightning fast velocity. Tried some drywall, only 2 layers, but it went right through both of them. I even went as far as to test out a gummy bear ballistic gel through a windshield. While the glass did knock off a lot of energy, the round made its mark and hit the gel gummy bear pretty hard.A genuine 10/10, I trust these with my life.

An interestingly designed projectile, wonder if company did a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analysis on the projectile’s dynamics as wave front would be interesting to see. The high speed creating high angular spin of 117 grain projectile leaving barrel seems to add to projectile’s accuracy over that of the slower 230 grain projectile. Impact damage of the 117 grain is greater than the 230 grain due to V^2 in KE = 1/2 mv^2 as well as the very high angular spin.
