I installed the Defender Tactical short shell adapter in my Mossberg 590 and boy, this is a fun gun now to shoot. The slugs are very mild recoil and travel at 1200 fps. Using ghost sights, I was able to get 3-inch groups at 35 yards off hand. The recoil is like a 20-gauge using these loads. No complaints. Great load for the money. Cheaper than Aguila brand.

This is my go-to shorty shell for my Mossberg 590 (with a shorty adapter). Shorty shells are hard to come by so whenever they are available, I always order a few boxes. Compared to Aguila shorties these are smoother and a whole lot more reliable. They just cycle so much smoother.

My application experience is based on 5 different shotguns. This is a review on my opinion, you will have to test and learn for what works for you.5 pump actions, mostly Mossbergs with an OpSol Plug, some do not need it. I have 2 that did not need a feed ramp adapter.Took my 8+1 to 12+1, 6+1 to 9+1, and 5+1 to 7+ 1.Very accurate, rifling helped stabilize at 50 yards hitting a 12 in gong so hard the gong it never rang so loud even with 220gr 300 AAC.I have an 18.5, 20, and 24 inch barrels, the longer the barrel the great the distance and accuracy.These are a must have in your HD ammo supply. Too expensive for Plinking. Beware it can be addictive and you will go through a box of 10 in no time. �
