Barnes Triple-Shock X-Bullets are made from 100 percent copper and designed to expand on impact. These revolutionary bullets deliver four razor sharp petals that have deep cutting capability. Upon impact, the petals expand and lock on to the target, whereupon the projectile begins to rotate rapidly, causing it to fall with a crack as it expands. As the petals close, energy is transferred to the target, whereupon, energy is transferred to the tip of the projectile, whereupon, the impact initiating energy is transferred to the target. Upon impact, the tip of the projectile turns from a solid copper base to a highly malleable bonded copper.
