Use these Alexander Arms Lee 6.5 Grendel Reloading Dies to boost the precision of your cast bullets. These Reloading Dies by Alexander Arms include a full-length sizing die, a factory crimp die, a bullet seating die, and a universal shell holder – everything you need to produce high quality bullets. The only drawback is that these dies are a little on the large size, so you may want to go up a caliber if you plan on increasing your shot accuracy. However, these dies do pack quite a bit of steel into their makeup, which can make them a bit on the expensive side. However, these dies offer a number of other useful tools – including a molded plastic carrying case and comprehensive instructions – that will help you reload like a pro. However, these dies aren’t carbide, so they must be seated into use with a case lube. Otherwise, you can clean these dies using standard techniques. Using these Alexander Arms Lee 6.5 Grendel Reloading Dies will guarantee proper alignment of your slugs – resulting in a more accurate shot. joe –
This is my 3rd set of Lee dies and I could write identical reviews for each one: the factory crimp die is fantastic once it’s properly set, very consistent pressures result. The seating die gives incredibly consistent depths. Could use a tiny bit of improvement with micro adjustments but for the price you’ll not find a better one anywhere. The full sizing die works wonderfully, it even has a pinhole near the top of the thread to relieve pressure from lubricant buildup and I’ve yet to have a pin snap. BUT. The clamp. The pin, after 50 cases or so, WILL slip and need to be readjusted. No biggie, right? Except Hercules and Conan The Barbarian were twisting in opposing directions when the clamp was put on, and the only way to loosen it is to put the end in a very secure vise mounted vertically, clamp vice grips securely around the die body, and then batter the ever loving s*** out of the vice grips with a mini-sledgehammer, then reverse direction to retighten it. At which point it will slip again 2 or 3 cases later. Buy a universal decapping die, it will save you much trouble, friends.
